Students had an informational day. They were able to pick
four speaker sessions from the career fields of their choice. Speakers spoke
candidly about their careers, answered questions and even discussed salary
options. Speakers told the students what they do on a daily basis, and told
them what kind of a person it took to do a certain job type. Students attended a college fair in the afternoon and were able to ask questions about
programs, tuition, scholarships and more.
This year a special session was added on the dangers of
texting and driving. The Texas Department of Public Safety hosted this session.
All students attended and were amazed at some of the statistics and video that
were shared.
Students practiced some Physical Therapy exercises. |
